The Army comes to Basingstoke

Add News

The Army has a new recruiting office here in Basingstoke.

Recruiting Sergeant Andy Liddicott’s aim is to develop a more focused Army presence in the Basingstoke area. The nearest recruiting offices currently are in Aldershot and nearby Reading.

Due to the recession there has been an increase in people enquiring about the Army and the benefits available in the military.

Army life promises excitement, travel and opportunity. The pay and benefits package far exceed that of most other organisations. Starting pay is comparable to other first jobs in the civilian world, but with more less obvious benefits which include: subsidised accommodation and food, on-site sports and entertainment facilities, free medical and dental care and discounted rail travel. The Army will also give you more paid leave than most other civilian organisations.

Want to find out more about the benefits of joining the Army, there is no need to travel to Reading or Aldershot as Basingstoke has it’s own recruiting office.

The new Army recruitment office in Basingstoke is to be situated next to the entrance to Festival Place on Wote Street. To discuss in more detail whether Army life is for you, just call in for an informal chat.
